India’s seamer Arundhati Reddy and Pakistan’s opener Sahibzada Farhan have been named ICC Players of the Month for February 2026, recognising their stellar performances on the international stage.
For the first time in her career, Reddy earned the ICC Women’s Player of the Month award following India’s memorable T20I series win in Australia. The 28-year-old finished as India’s top wicket-taker in the three-match series, claiming eight wickets at an average of 10.87 and an economy rate of 7.25. Her standout performance came in Sydney, where she picked up a career-best 4/22, earning the Player of the Match award.

Reflecting on the accolade, Reddy said,
“It’s a real honour to be named ICC Player of the Month, and even more special knowing I was able to contribute to a T20I series win in Australia. Beating Australia on their home turf is never easy, which makes this award even more meaningful. This series win has given our team a huge boost of confidence as we build towards the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England and Wales this summer. We’ve got a well-balanced squad, and I believe we’ll be a team to watch.”
Meanwhile, Sahibzada Farhan claimed the ICC Men’s Player of the Month award after a remarkable ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 campaign in Sri Lanka. He finished as the tournament’s highest run-scorer with 383 runs in six innings at an average of 76.60, including two centuries and two fifties. Farhan also broke Virat Kohli’s record for the most runs in a single T20 World Cup edition, becoming the first batter to score two centuries in one global T20 event.
“It’s an incredible feeling to win this ICC award, especially for performances on the World Cup stage, where fans from all over the world are watching every moment. That makes it even more special,” Farhan said.
“It was truly a tournament I’ll always cherish, and I’m determined to carry this momentum forward in the series and competitions ahead. I’m deeply grateful to my teammates for their constant support and belief in me – this wouldn’t have been possible without them.”
Farhan also reached a career-high ICC Men’s T20I batting rating, moving to second spot globally, and was named in the ICC Team of the Tournament, scoring 47, 73, 0, 100, DNB, 63, 100* across seven matches.
India will next rely on Reddy during a five-match T20I series against South Africa starting April 17, ahead of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England beginning June 12. Farhan aims to maintain his form in Pakistan’s upcoming fixtures following his record-breaking World Cup campaign.
